The ultrasonic contact inspection is a standardized system in the field of concrete structure diagnosis, which requires one transmitting and one receiving probes. By analyzing the P compression waves that travel through the material, it is possible to get both the Time Of Flight (TOF) and the Travelling Speed of the ultrasonic waves as they travel back to the transducer. This high-frequency method is hence indicated for very compact materials such as hardened concrete, and for small dimension structural elements (beams, pillars, etc.).
The ULTRASONIC INSPECTION software allows to display and analyze the retrieved data of each single wave form, so that the collected measurements can be used to prepare custom-tailored reports. Different wave forms can be simultaneously compared.
