Digital equipment for ultrasonic
structural investigations by means of contact transducers.
This system’s range of applications includes cut-off walls, girders
and diaphragm walls, as well as samples and laboratory samplings,
screen tests and other concrete structures or stone material.
Maximum compactedness, along with sturdiness and high reliability,
make the A5000U instrumentation system the ideal one for any hard
work where maximum accuracy is paramount.
A large graphical monitor allows quick and easy display and
interpreting of the information. Each generated wave – emitted by
the built-in generator – is displayed in full; it is also possible
to modify the displayed parameters to further improve the reading of
the crossing speed. Data are then recorded on an SD removable memory.
The ultrasonic contact inspection is a standardized system in the
field of concrete structure diagnosis. By analyzing the P
compression waves that travel through the material, it is possible
to get both the TOF (Time Of Flight) of the ultrasonic waves, as
well as their travelling speed as they travel back to the transducer.
This high-frequency method is hence indicated for very compact
materials such as hardened concrete and for small dimensions
structural elements (beams, pillars, etc.). A5000U series allows to
evaluate the mechanical characteristics of the materials, assessing
their integrity and, possibly, the presence of any defect such as
cracks, voids, or construction pathology related problems. |
